Danny Russo’s BOLD Experience….

Danny was one of our 2015 attendees and wanted to share his experience with you.  Like you, he was wondering whether to attend and he’s so glad he did.  He’s transformed his business and his life style.

He draws his inspiration from historical surroundings and modern-day development. Emulsifying functional luxury with a timeless approach to design which allows Danny to deliver concepts that have an intrinsic value.

Danny prides himself on the fundamental belief that a room should speak for itself and make an understated statement. In Danny’s career, this has always held true and his uniqueness in the industry is like no other. In an unpredictable world, Danny believes design should be consistent and timeless. As elements develop with the unique evolution of each project, Danny believes in always bringing the unexpected aesthetics into play.

Merging natural textiles is a Danny Russo signature element. By mixing natural components into modern applications he is able to execute an overall feeling of beauty, drama, and relaxation into all of his designs. Working on a variety of projects ranging from luxury salons, cocktail lounges, private residences, and even physician’s offices, there are few areas of design that Danny hasn’t worked in.

Mentored and inspired by some of the world’s top designers Danny now enjoys educating new designers in the field. He is also a longtime member of the American Society of Interior Designer (ASID).

Molloy has also chaired the ASID Student Affairs Committee and the board of advisors for the Art Institute Interior Design program.
Julia Molloy is the ‘special sauce’ and the silent strength behind some of the most successful design firms, large and small, around the world. She has become the most trusted source for business tools and systems for Principal Interior Designers to propel their businesses forward. Molloy is the only design industry business consultant to have built a small company from its early stages into a mature global organization that was then sold for over $65 million. After her time on high tech,  she returned to her artistic roots and went on to run operations for a prestigious Beverly Hills interior design firm for several years before launching her own interior design business consulting firm. Her firm now has an elite list of clientele globally and brings a distinctive knowledge base to the interior design industry.

Julia Molloy is also the founder of the renowned BOLD Summit – Business of Luxury Design Summit. This event focuses on the special business needs unique to firms positioned in the luxury market. It is a powerful catalyst for luxury focused interior designers and architects around the world. In pursuing her mission to advance the industry, every other year she galvanizes the world’s leaders in luxury design to share their wisdom and advice. The BOLD Summit continues to be a driving force for enriching lives and propelling excellence in the design community around the globe.

“I have been working with designers for over a decade now and you all are the most intelligent, sweet, sassy, passionate, interesting, fun and beautiful group of people I have ever come across. I adore each and every one of my clients and I couldn’t imagine dedicating myself to any other industry.

We are all given a gift. You were given the ability to see into people, understand their needs, envision possibility and miraculously translate that into their environment, facilitating better lives, more successful businesses and happiness. My gift is the ability to help you more powerfully tap into your potential. I believe that when you take your business to the next level, whatever that is for you, it has a ripple effect on your whole life. You feel clearer, more organized, more empowered, more abundant and these things permeate through all areas of your life. Reaching your potential and using your business as a vehicle for wealth, expression and fulfillment takes a special kind of person. You are driven by a higher power, a greater meaning and a deep yearning to make your mark on this world. I understand you. I understand your business in a way that no one else does. I have worked with hundreds of firms of every type, large and small, complex and simple models and because of this I have a very broad frame of reference. I understand where you are on the spectrum of similar firms and I intuitively see very clearly your growth trajectory.

I am honest, fair, transparent, reliable, direct, sensitive and driven to see my beloved clients flourish. I will push you and will always tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. I have a gift for understanding the unspoken and seeing people’s hearts and their true potential. I have been given the gift of clarity, I can see the path for each of you and I do my best to help you navigate it. I am extremely intuitive, yet pragmatic. I like tangible results and tactical how-to’s. I opt for logic guided by spirit. It’s a powerful combination.”

With a background in graphic design and business operations, I transitioned from the role of VP of Operations in high-tech to running the office for a luxury design firm in Beverly Hills almost 15 years ago. I have developed a deep understanding of what it takes to excel in this business sector. It is all I do and I absolutely love it.

When she is not pulling together the next BOLD Summit, she is busy working one on one with designers around the world from her office in Portland, Oregon. She lives in her dream home on the water in the Portland area with her husband, son and their little dogs Charlie and Sparky.

Our Keynote Speaker Keith Granet will then present on licensing contracts and important strategic aspects of brand extension. He will help you to understand what milestones need to be met before launching a furniture line or licensing deal. Keith will also introduce a groundbreaking new tool that creates efficiency in your design process. This will be followed by BOLD Summit Founder Julia Molloy’s presentation on company structure and workflow.

Following lunch, we will hear from Crans Baldwin and Randy Fiser, chief executive officer of ASID. Dedicated to advancing community and economic development, he brings to his role a unique point of view about the capacity of design to make a positive impact on human health, well-being, and productivity. Randy is releasing new information on evidence based design that you can consider incorporating into your business offering.

Our final panel for the Summit will be on blogging, technology, and social media and how to make them work for you. Featured on this panel will be Anna Brockway, the chief curator from Chairish, and Mat Sanders from MyDomaine. Afterwards, you can join some free-form roundtable discussions with the experts featured over the two days of the Summit. Lastly, we will be treated to a summation by Chris Ramey, president of Affluent Insights and one of the most highly regarded experts in the luxury segment.
